11:22 am - Rock and Roll Concert at Main Library It’s been a high-energy summer at all Clearwater Libraries and what better way to end the season than with a rock show. Last year the quirky, carefree, music of Detroit's The High Strung (or their myspace) electrified patrons across the nation with their Beatlesque jams. This year the band is roaming the country again and headed to the Clearwater Main Library. on Monday, August 6, 2 p.m.
The High Strung will play a full-set and will solicit the audience's help in writing and improvising a song on the spot. The band will also record the library show and burn a copy on CD for each participating library.
The High Strung were hailed by Rolling Stone magazine, NPR, and the Washington Post. Their videos have been on MTV and they have been featured in Entertainment Weekly and Spin magazines. .
