09:40 am - Main Library Gallery Exhibits & Special Collections Grand Opening
The Carnegie and Osceola Galleries present an exhibition of watercolors by Viv Ruegger titled The Alice Project.  Her work celebrates the timeless story of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.  Through her art, Alice and the characters move through the story as though they were on a chessboard, and her watercolors reflect her interpretation of this classic tale.

The Osceola Gallery will also feature sculpture by Cindy Jones titled The Figuerido Collection.
Hand-crafted jewelry by Mary and Otto Glass will be displayed in the 1st floor lobby.

The grand opening of the Special Collections department will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 1.  The Clearwater Library Foundation will dedicate their Spine Book Wall, Major Donor plaque, and Book of Luminaries.  The Friends of the Library will also dedicate their collection of Highwaymen art.  Also featured will be displays and information about Clearwater during the 1920s courtesy of the Clearwater Historical Society and Clearwater Depression Glass Club.
